Like so many of the 3m screw on and quick connect pads (not foam), two of these pads I purchased were also unbalanced. While still usable it results in more swirls and imperfections which ultimately results in more finishing work. This means you are going to spend more money on other pads and product to remove swirls etc. And arguably more importantly….more time.
Having purchased many 3m double sided pads over the years there was a time when a fair amount of them were balanced- perhaps at least %50. The unbalanced rate now is much higher. So I decided to try. TCbglobal. Other sellers too like Presta and Buff&Shine resulted in unbalanced pads. The quality control in the manufacturing of these pads is clearly lacking and the sellers are continuing to sell defective pads which is poor business. They all obliviously allow returns, but clearly not a solution to defective pads and consumer needs.
Until the manufacturing defects of these pads is resolved – DO NOT PURCHASE. Otherwise it will continue to be a perpetual loop of poor manufacturing and sellers doing business at the expense of unsuspecting consumers which is not conducive to ethical business practices.

The product did the job well, however I wish it hadn’t left so much particle behind after use. I had to blow it all off of my boat after use.

These pads are great for buffing, double sided, clean up with your washing machine several at a time. Just air dry.
