The product was delivered in a timely manner. It is been in the car for 3 months… the window has not been used 12 times … and it broke. The design seemed to be the same as the OEM, but both are junk. absolute junk. Chrysler ought to have done better. Replacement parts should have been better too. This review process is rigged. Reviews should be allowed 3 times within one month, after 6 months and after 1 year. Product quality is not known until the passage of time.

Had to order this front right passenger window regulator from 5 amazon vendors as none of them could ship me the correct item. It seems 749-509 is a “generic” value for the real thing. Sometimes they use 748-509 or 749-508 just to confuse you. Amazon says they are all out of China and that explains why you can’t get the real thing. Even ordered a Doorman model. That part said, this particular unit arrived and it actually looked like the picture image posted for this model.
But… here’s where it gets real bad. The tensioner cable (by the spring) is too long by 5/8″ and puts too much “tension” on the return cable guides (look like wheels) at the top of each rail, which of course, causes the cable guides to deform and, the cable comes off. The cable guides themselves are woefully under designed and the cable just eats into them.
Salvage moment… since you cannot get the actual unit you need, you can:
1) use the original factory rails that were in the door with superior cable guides
2) use the new? cables, spooler/housing, and slides (window carriers) that matches your window
3) drill a little bit wider on the original rails to accommodate the new plastic cable stops
4) you may have to shorten the tension cable by unwrapping and cutting it with pliers, channel locks and a wire cutter (I did) then attach the cable to the last cable guide with a small hook tool
5) using a small brush, apply marine grease to everything: motor splines, slides, spooler, and cables on assembly
6) once you get the “right” tension on the whole system, hook up a 12V battery (only 2 pins) to align the splined motor into the spooler. Don’t force it.
7) test run the setup many times to get it right before re-installing it into the door.
8) use silicone spray to lubricate the window guides in the door on install
9) it’s bad enough just getting the whole thing out and back in
If you don’t like what you’re reading, just try to get them from an auto parts shop that offers the same thing but costs more. It’s a sign of the times. Pathetic.

’08 Grand Caravan front passenger side replacement. Fit was perfect. It is being mounted to a plastic piece. So if the holes appear to not line up pefectly, just flex the plastic a little & things pop right into place. Shipping took a few days longer than expected. There are no instructions included. So if you haven’t made this repair before or aren’t mechanically inclined, you may want to find someone who can do it for you. I’d say it takes intermediate to upper intermediate skills for the install. Definitely not for beginners or those that lack mechanical knowledge. Lastly, there is zero lubricant on the guides or included in the package. So after install, & before closing door panel all the way, you’ll need to apply some lubricant to the guides &/or rails.
