The design of this part is just like the original. I think this part will last a long time but is not a permanent fix. My original part lasted 216k miles and 14 years. I think if the spool was made of aluminum rather than plastic cut mat permanently fix this part and make it indestructible. However I’m happy with the results. Tge product works great!

Bought this part because it says in the description that it’s compatible with my BMW but it was not. Didn’t fit.

Definitely not OE equivalent
So, longevity, don’t know – I don’t feel they will last as long as the OE part being replaced
If you are looking to “just fix your window”
These will work
Mine didn’t line up OE perfect
There was some finagling
The reset process had to be run three times to get them aligned (both rear passenger left and right each)
Getting the center plastic tab into the glass hole mount, be super careful to not break the glass
Rear driver side did not line up
Passenger rear, barely lined up and did click on
Take your time no matter what on install
And dont strip the motor mounting screws when you transfer your motor to these regulators

The pressed in nuts that are supposed to hold the motor are standard machine thread. The original OEM regulator has plastic inserts and uses 3 screws that have thread that cuts into the plastic. The OEM screws are not compatible with the press in machine thread nuts on this regulator; having taken my interior apart and having no other regulator as an option, I had no choice but to jam the wrong threaded screws into this regulator with a lot of resistance.
The regulator does work, but there are a lot of “cable tension” noises that don’t inspire confidence this is going to last a long time. Needs to come with replacement screws in the future if they use a machine thread, or redesign this regulator to match the OEM plastic inserts
Make sure to reset your window calibration (hold window all the way down 15 sec and all the way up 15 sec) or the regulator replacement will cause the window to lower for the anti pinch function.
