Higher current relays for multiple lights or any higher power requirement. Rated at 40 Amp. Replace existing bad relays or build your own control setup. Most DIY run all power for accessories through the switch inside the vehicle with wire that is too small which causes overheating and short circuits. Use this relay under the hood to apply power to things and have your switch inside apply a ground to this relay to turn it on. Simple and safe. Search www to find simple relay wiring setup.

ITEM REVIEWED : Weasch 2Pcs JD1914 Car Relay, 12V 40A, 5 Pin SPDT

Similar to another relay ‘Weasch’ sells that has a mounting tab on it. This one has no tab. This one was a nice substitute relay for me which plugged right into the fuse panel in my car – replacing the failed one that was originally installed there. I admit I had a little luck that this fit as a pretty much exact replacement. BUT that being said… most of these type of relays are the same size… So I expected I might be lucky. All I had to make sure of is that the voltage and current specifications matched for what I needed.
The price was right! The current listed price of CA$9.69 is what I’d have to pay at the local ‘car parts store’ except here I got TWO of them in the package!
I’ve only had this installed for a few days now and it’s working great. If I have any issues with it within the next year I will update this review to let you know.
