I’m not building a race car so this zinc plated standard 3/8-16 bolt set is pleanty good for my street use. They have some nice features for securing intakes. The set is advertised for a SBC but it will fit other makes that take the same size bolt. Btw-The product page has an incorrect spec which says 3/8-12, there’s no such thing.
I like the length, which is great for accounting for the intake mounting flange thickness and leaves pleanty of thread in the head. Also the bolt has a wide shoulder for proper clamping force. The bottom surface has small knurles to help keep it tight.
I used this set for a Mopar big block that requires only 8 bolts, not the full set. My intake is aluminum so I used a hardened grade 8 washer under each bolt head. That keeps the bolt from gouging into the the aluminum. For aluminum torque to only 20-25 ft lbs. Ovetall everything worked great.

There are nearly countless fastener designs, head and length sizes, and bracket combinations to attach to a SBC. Some intake accessories require various length or shoulder designs on the same engine. I prefer a common hex head bolt so most sockets and swivels easily work with a torque wrench. This set works great for my carbureted application.
