I wanted to compare this set with what I was use to and that liked a lot. This is my first experience with foam pads and I am happy to say that I am not disappointed. I usually use microfiber pads with my DA polisher pretty much because I didn’t think that the foam would last beyond just one use. Wrong. These not only are durable, they are much easier to clean and care for. The kit comes with 3 different pads. One for cutting (green), one for polishing (yellow), and one for waxing or a final polishing. These do a really great job!!! I believe I will be using foam pads from now on.

I’m new to polishing and I wanted to grab some good but durable polishing pads for my car. These are a big a bit bigger than I anticipated but I think it will fit my five and a half inch orbital. I like the fact that these colors are easy identifiable and works with a velcro or loop underpass. The set includes three pads green for cutting yellow for polishing blue for finishing.
I’ve done a quarter panel of my car and so far I like the results but I think I will start and continue with these in the spring but so far I like what I see with the product I’ll keep you posted and post another review in the springtime of 2023.

These cutting and polishing pads are one of a painter’s or auto detailer’s secret weapons…and one they often don’t talk about. There’s a reason for that. First, it keeps them looking like the experts, and second, if one uses these incorrectly, one can do a LOT of paint damage really fast.
But with that said, these particular and very typical small cutting pads and have a definite and very useful function. They use hook and loop attachment, and are easy to load and change. They wash up nice and are good for several uses.
Pros:
Nice size for average spot areas
Pad aggressiveness seems to correspond to those of a popular US produced brand from Minnesota
Hooks seem plenty functional. No issues
Cons:
Nothing immediately obvious…but;
5″ and even 6″ may be too small for a larger area, unless you have plenty of time and two sets of pads
long term durability of foam uncertain? These seem to be good, but put them in a cabinet for a couple years and you might be surprised.
Overall – Hard to fault them for the price, and they do fill a niche. Understand that these and all cutting pads, while not exactly throw-away items, do have a definite and limited number of uses before they become unusable. Your mileage may vary. Also, you must keep these and all such pads scrupulously clean and free from dirt and debris. If you don’t, you’ll be repainting or buying someone a paint job.
Also, know that on softer older finishes, (read: Vintage cars and guitars, etc.) You can cut right through lacquers and older non-catalyzed enamels with an aggressive pad, and it only takes a couple of seconds of mistaken application to do that. If this happens, you will be bummed out and poorer as you attempt a difficult and expensive repair.
That said, on harder modern clear catalyzed and clear coat paints, these pads are a godsend. They make recovering an oxidized or dulled finish at least bearable. Routine de-lousing of casually abused average car paint jobs is quick and painless. Cars come out looking really nice with fairly minimal effort.
Follow these up with the usual hand work and people with think you are the wax-whisperer!
Recommended 4.5 stars – 1/2 star off because they didn’t include a dirt-proof bag or other storage to keep them clean. A zip-lock bag works fine, so only 1/2 star off.

These pads are quite nice. They are in between the bulk no name pads and the high end pads like Rupes or Lake Country. I would put them at the same level as Chemical Guys or Adam’s. They are not quite as pliable as the high end pads and they fray a little more when you use a brush to clean them out between passes. The cuts in them actually seem to make a little bit of difference. They seem to have a little more working time than flat pads and I notice that they don’t bog down quite as easily on a DA as my high end pads. The green pad is actually quite aggressive for a foam pad. It cuts very well, almost as much as a microfiber.
If you are a DIYer looking to pick up a pack of pads that will do everything you need to paint correct a vehicle I would recommend them. 1 pad of each color is nice because you get a selection, but you are going to spend a lot of time cleaning out pads. That is not the fault of these pads, it’s just paint correction in general. You can usually get 1 panel before a good brush out on a pad and 2-3 before you need to give it an actual cleaning. You can try to stretch it and go longer, but your cut will be severely diminished.

I detail on a regular basis and have my favorite brand. These are right there with them. I really like fresh new pads and I tried them out today on my personal vehicle. I was happy with them and they did hold up well.

Great for getting scratches out.

Like every 7-year-old vehicle, I had some rock chips on the front of it. I put some dabs of automotive paint in the chips and let it dry for a month or so. I then took some fine grit sandpaper and carefully sanded the small ridges off the paint dots. Then I used these Canfix buffing pads (the green pad) and compound to remove the marks left from the sanding and then proceeded to polish the areas with the yellow pad. I finally waxed the repaired panels with the blue pad and it really looks very good. Perfect actually!! Great value as similar pads can run as high as $20 each.

The three pack polishing pads (5 inch) are a quality foam pad that worked great on my vehicle. I used all three pads to cut (compound) polish and apply a coat of wax on my vehicle. Overall a great set of polishing pads to use with your DA polisher
