First off let me say how impressed I am with the construction of this pump. What isn’t aluminum is what looks to be “fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP)”. I’m not sure on the (FRP) it might be something else but whatever it is, is a very tough material. This pump will last for years. This is a pulse operated pump. I’m using it on my 25hp vertical Kawasaki twin cylinder. It works great. Where Kawasaki mounted the original fuel pump it was in a location where it received all kinds of flying debris damage. I must have replaced 4 or more of those cheap plastic pumps before I found this one. I’m confident that this pump will last the lifetime of the engine. It is so much higher quality than the old plastic units it shouldn’t be in the same catalog. It’s hooked up and running. All that’s left to do is see how long it will last. If I have any problems with it I’ll update this review.

I have a plastic dry box and I keep a few spares in it. I keep a few tools and spare parts in it, just in case. I have two spark plugs, one spare plug wire, this fuel pump, zip ties, fuel hose, hose clamps and a few tools. If you’re floating on the water instead of motoring on the water, you’ll wish you had your spares with you!

Good oem style pump that works well. Only issue is that it does not come with mounting screws. This woudknt be a big deal; however, The pump is slightly thicker than the old one on my 1979 Johnson 25 so I couldnt use the old ones and had to buy new mounting screws.
