I kept getting misfire codes, but it was intermittent. I replaced the plugs, and later replaced the coils, but it continued. That’s when I noticed that one of the plugs had a wire appear slightly pulled out and ineven with the rest. I pusjed it back in firmly, and the misfire went away. I ended up finding another loose wire connection on another plug too, so I bought this set. With some soldering and careful shrink wrapping, tue problem was solved. This set comes with long leads that you can custom trim as needed. That was extremely helpful! I would recommend getting some extra insulated thermal protection wrap since some of the original wrap from my Camry had deteriated over time, and I needed to protect the new wires.

Installed on a 2011 Toyota Camry 4cyl.
The original coil connectors cracked when changing the spark plugs. I disassembled and pushed the original wires on the car right into these new shells. Don’t know how long they will last, but the fit the existing cars wire harness perfectly and snap right onto the coils.

Very smooth installation, I took the Cason off, wars out and put my 0E Original wiring back into the case.
Makes it very quick to install as long as you have good wiring on yours.
Recommend to anybody that needs them.

Bought these for my son’s Toyota Yaris. Had to replace the ignition coils and when removing the connectors two of the locking tabs broke. Ordered these which arrived on time and were as advertised. Easy to install in my case I popped out the wires in the new connectors and put in the wire from the wiring harness for the connectors. If you plan on cutting off the old wires and attaching the ones the connectors come with I would suggest you solder them to the other wires and put a piece of shrink tubing onto the wire before soldering so that you can then pull it over the soldered wires and use a heat gun to shrink the tubing.. Doing it the way I did takes less time especially if the other original wires are in good condition. The plastic locking tabs on the connectors break after time so if you need to replace them these will do the trick and much less expensive than going to AutoZone who wanted $50-$60 dollars for one..

I installed the shells from this kit onto the existing wire harness rather than cut and solder them on.
This necessitated making a tool to slip the metal connection sleeves out of the new shell and install them onto the old connectors still on the car. This was made from an old “precision ” screwdriver that i ground to a long, thin, flat profile and tested for fit until it would release the metal sleeve, but not break the plastic or bend. It takes time, be patient, keep going until you get it right.
For some reason, Toyota saw fit to make a “full bodied” wire harness that does not have the ability to “drop out” defective cable runs at strategic points, such as the ignition coils being on a separate connected branch. I did find a Kia wire harness that does this, but it seems that their ignition coils only have 2 wires per coil vs Toyota’s 4. i guess it comes down to the cost of extra connectors in the wire path.
The shells on my installation were excessively brittle and failing, so any pressure applied to try and remove the metal connector sleeve resulted in them breaking up and simply releasing the sleeve with little effort.
IF you want to solder these units onto your wire harness, take a picture, front and back, BEFORE you start cutting ANYTHING. This will prove invaluable when you try to remember how thisng were before you got dep into it. Also, only work one connector at a time. this will also cut down on the confusion. For what these are, it would have been better to use all clear or black insulation rather than read and black.
Lastly, use heat shrink and be careful when shrinking it as not to melt the wires and open yourself up to the possibility of a short to ground in the system. The best kind has a hot melt glue lining that will ooze out and help to waterproof things. Costs more, but its worth it.
