I bought this particular device that provides a cigarette lighter socket on one end and alligator battery clips on the other end because it has an important safety feature. Near the alligator clips there is pocket that contains 1 20 amp standard size (yellow) fuse. There were two extra fuses (one 20 amp and a 25 amp) in a little packet next to the fuse pocket. Thus, you have two spare fuses. This device uses 14 gauge wire rather than the smaller (lower amperage) 16 gauge wire that is found on many similar devices — most of which do not have any built-in fuse protection. I tried out the device and it works exactly like it is supposed to work.
