The part was out the box and a piece was broken off it I glued it but part didn’t work there was no spark so I put the old one back on the mower which will run for a little while

Was really frustrated that I had incorrectly diagnosed my problem and bought this. Spent an hour watching youtube and reading and everything kept pointing back at the magneto. Thought maybe I got a bad one, so I came back here to order another. I decided to read some reviews to see if others had gotten duds too. I did see a few of those but then ran across one person saying they had to install it upside down. I ran out to the mower, flipped it over, and it fired right up! Some of the DOA reviews I suspect are just installed backwards. So the product does work, but came with nothing but a business card and you may have to try it both ways on your mower. Good luck.

great price and fit and works perfectly on my craftsmen 19 hp twin cylinder motor. I liked the fact they sent a spacing card to set the coil between the coil and the fly wheel.

If installed wrong side up it won’t work. The side where plug wires come out of coil must be pointed away from the spark plugs. Seems wrong as the wires need to be bent back around to head towards the plug side of engine. It should be labeled right on the coil or at least have instructions in box. Coil looks completely different than original one but when installed correctly works perfectly!

Has Spark Plug boot ends AND protective wire covering at possible abrassive points.
These are better than the factory coil and wires, also comes with a thickness card to place between coil and flywheel for correct spacing of gap, equills hottest spark.
A + for this set. Most did not come with spark plug Boots.
