When product was connected and plugged in i kept getting battery light on. The light could not be cleared.

Bought this to replace a damaged battery current sensor on a 2012 Honda Civic. Was a perfect replacement, bolted right in and the harness connected with no issues. No error codes after install, ECU confirmed for reading the correct battery voltage. Very happy with it!

I had a very bad experience. There are two screw terminals on this battery sensor. One tightens down onto the negative battery post. The other is connected to the negative cable in the vehicle. When attempting to replace my old sensor, both screws on both terminals were stripped.
The one for tightening on to the negative battery post was barely tightened before I realized it was stripped. I attempted to back it off for quite some time but it wouldn’t come. Eventually, I kept tightening/un-tightening it until finally the bolt snapped.
The other screw, which is used to connect to the negative cable of the vehicle, started OK, but then that one too turned out to be stripped. Worse, I had already placed the negative battery cable onto the terminal, so now my negative was stuck on this sensor that I can’t use. I had to use a hacksaw to cut through the bolt to free my negative cable. I put the defective OEM one back on without any of these problems.
I was surprised that Autozone, Honda, and others want $150-$250 for these parts. Now I’m thinking this is why. High quality doesn’t come cheap.
