Lightweight. Extends the available usb and plugs. Should work for Plug in cooler (don’t have one to test though) – just don’t forget to check the wattage to make sure it can handle it. Put it in a visible place so you remember to unplug it when the car is off, so it won’t drain the battery. If your generator has a 12v, you can use it there too for extra slots. Not sure on durability but we shall see…

It cuts off every 3 seconds to recharge

I have had several of these types of inverters for our van over the years. This one seems to work well, although I have not pushed it to it’s rated limit yet. The power button feels a bit cheap as does the case. The 12v cord is a bit short for my taste, but it works fine. It is nice that it has built in USB power plugs.

Not the best quality, average plastic and built, but it’s doing its job, if you don’t want to spend a lot of money for car converter this is your choice

This is a great power inverter for a relatively low price. I really like the digital voltmeter that allows me to continuously monitor my car’s battery voltage. If I notice that the voltage get below 10 volts, I will turn the inverter off in order to save enough battery power to start the engine. Of course with the engine idling, the inverter can be used continuously until my car runs out of gas (LOL).
I tested it with a 300 watt load (two 150 watt incandescent bulbs wired in parallel). It passed my test without any problems. The unit, of course, does get warm, but the internal fan helps to keep it from overheating. I would not recommend leaving the unit running in a hot vehicle. Although it has internal protection circuitry that will shut the unit down when a certain high temperature is detected, it’s not a good idea to stress any electronic components by subjecting them to high temperatures.
The only negative comment that I have about it is the on/off power switch feels rather cheap. I did not have any problems with it not functioning, so I’m just concerned whether or not the switch will handle numerous on/off cycles over a long period of time. I guess time will tell! Except for that, I like it very much and will put it to good use in the coming months.

I tested this car power inverter and concluded that everything works as advertised. I also learned a few things along the way.
I did all the testing with my vehicle ignition switched on but without the engine running and experienced no issues. However, I think that it is just common sense to have the engine running if you are using the inverter for a prolonged period of time to prevent draining the automobile battery.
I charged my cell phone using (1) a phone charger plugged into the AC outlets, (2) the PD fast charging USB-C port using a cable only with USB-C connector on each end, (3) the QC fast charging port, USB 3.0, with cable only with standard USB connector on one end and USB-C connector on the phone end, (4) and the standard USB 3.0 ports with standard USB 3.O connector on one end and USB-C connector on the phone end. Each method worked well.
I plugged a couple of different 120-V shop lights into the AC outlets, and they worked fine. I did not have them connected at the same time, but I don’t think that would have been a problem since both lights have low current draw.
To test the overload protection, I connected a 110V AC hand drill to the inverter. The drill ran for only an instant before the inverter shut off. The cooling fan on the inverter came on and ran for a few seconds. This was obviously a part of the overload shutdown cycle. The drill is rated at 5 amps so I was not surprised.
It appears that 2.5 amps is the approximate nominal max AC current limit. This is my conclusion, but that value is consistent with the 300-watt AC output value given in the specifications.
Everything worked as advertised. It is a nice accessory to have in your vehicle.

This 300 Watt inverter is exactly what is needed in order to charge phones, laptops and keep everything within the 200 watt range usable while out and about. Its compact, and so far holds up to its power rating for more than 30 minutes. No over heating or shutting down like some others when you reach over 100 watts. This will get lots of use!

Working great so far. I was able to verify that the rapid charging capabilities were spot on, and was even able to charge a phone and a tablet both rapidly at the same time. My only real complaint would be that the whole unit just feels cheap. Like, for instance, the power button tends to go a little sideways sometimes. Probably needs a tighter tolerance in the case for the cutout, maybe? Overall, if it keeps working great, I guess the ‘feel’ of it shouldn’t matter, but it was just something I thought I’d mention.
