At Three Legged Lizard Custom Crafts I make a Lot of cutting boards and knives.
I got these to ultra tune knife handles though, honesty, I wasn’t expecting much…but I was Wrong! These pads are excellent and do a fantastic job!
Seem pretty durable too, like they will last a good while.
They are definitely going to become some of my Go To finishing items!

Price and quality is good but like others mentioned, it’s almost impossible to tell which grit is which Because colors don’t match the card provided.

While these come with a color corresponding chart, there are some that are so close in color that it is almost impossible to tell which are which. Even under good lighting if can be difficult and assuming they’re in proper order when you get them can leave you having to rework some pieces, so take the time under a natural light to get them in order and then mark them somehow. I did along the thin edges with it’s “grit “
They’re also not as durable as I have found other similar products to have been. I was touching up some pen blanks I turned and with my spindle speed set at about 800r.p.m.’s, the covering of the pad just stretched and ripped almost completely off the inner pad. It wasn’t a fast speed and I wasn’t pressing hard. It happened to 2 different grits at different points(seperate projects) but so far the others are all fine and have done well even with the spindle set closer to 1200. Just be mindful of your using them with a lathe or other moving device.
As for how they leave my projects. I was quite happy with how they leave my work looking and feeling. I generally use sandpaper up to 5000 grit(everything from 120 – 5000 on many projects) which leaves my pieces looking and feeling like glass. Even the coarsest woods come out beautiful and I always felt that it was as good as it would get. Then I tried these and found it could be better. However like many things these take time and you’ll need to be patient slowly building up the levels. However your patience is anply rewarded with gorgeous pieces that need little else done to look so good. I generally just finish my pieces off with a light lacquer followed after drying by a buffing with bees wax or carnuba.
If you’re doing any kind of woodwork spend the money and you won’t be sorry.

Bought these to fix fret sprout on a couple guitars. They work very well and are also great for lightly rolling the fingerboard edges.

Yellow, green, grey, and brown are the only distinguishable shades.
The blues and purples don’t match any of the photos or included insert.
Quality seems good, and the price is great, but I can’t figure out specifically where x4 pads in the stack are supposed to go without guesstimating on feel alone, and that’s a deal breaker.
They need marked, or a wider color range.

I’ve been using these fine mesh pads for polishing the CA finish of handmade pens. I am able to get mirror like finish with them and quite frankly i don’t even use the buffing wheel after I have used them. Yes, as other people have said they did came in wrong order and its hard to distinguish them but once you try them you should feel the difference. One TIP is that I cut those pads in four pieces thus now I have four sets of pads that are going to last me for a long time in making pens.

These polishing pads are great. I’ve used them for repairing and bringing up a mirror gloss on gel coat, CA for a pen finish, polishing aluminum, and fixing a laser lens cover. Very high quality and you quickly get used to the feel of each pad and when it’s time to move to the next one. I always find it amazing to start with a 220 grit and end up with mirror finish on plastics, CA, metal, etc. These are the only product I’ve found that is so versatile.

I’ve used pads like these for years. These pads are not the same quality I’ve been purchasing from other sellers. It appears to be the same manufacturer. But it is not. The grits seem very close to the same. And the color coding is off. Disappointed for sure.
