Well, its aluminum. I probably should have paid better attention to the description. I just didn’t even think an aluminum bung would be higher ranked in the search than a steel one. Oh well. Looks nice though.

I used this to put an IAT sensor in a charge pipe. Only complaint is that the threads don’t go all that far into the bung. I had to run a tap pretty far into the bung to get the probe on the sensor to stick out the other side. Due to the taper on the npt threads whatever you thread in will bottom out about 50-75% of the way through it if you don’t modify it. Would work fine unmodified in a drain or coolant temp application where the probe on the sensor was not required to protrude past the bottom of the bung.

I bought this bung to weld onto my j pipe coming off my turbo, I used a oxy acetylene torch from blue feather torch and it welding amazing onto my j pipe. Good product I well buy more of bungs again in the future
