I am not planning to take my minibike racing, so the valve springs are too much. I usually use 18lbs springs in my modified GX200 clones. The springs fit and all, but they I’m not planning on revving to a billion rpm, so I didn’t use them.
I did use my small torque wrench to tighten the rod bolts to 150 Inch/lbs like it says, so that’s probably a good idea to do.
Once it was installed, I went ripping around the farm on the minibike to see if the rod had any issues. It did not. I don’t have it revving to 10k or anything, but it definitely revs above stock considering the lack of a governor and various other mods.
So, it fits and it hasn’t exploded. Not much else I can ask of this.

This is a high quality connecting rod. Really tight tolerances.

Pretty much every gasket you’ll need for the entire engine is included in this kit. Super light weight connecting rod and new bearings. The build quality of the connecting rod is very good. Kit recommends polishing the crank journal before installing. Probably not necessary on a new engine. Stiffer valve springs included too, to support higher RPM.
