These seem to be ruggedly built. I will use this to bypass the permanent internal circuit board relay in the fuse box under the hood instead of buying a whole new fuse box for several hundred dollars. More and more vehicles are using non replaceable relay type fuse boxes that requires the whole assembly be replaced. If you are or know a good mechanic they can bypass some of those internal relays with an external relay and save a lot of money. Especially like headlight controls or engine cooling fans. Or if your car is an old clunker and you just want to spend minimum to keep it going then these relay kits are the way to go. And at 40A they should be able to operate most anything on the vehicle. Like if you add more lights, use this relay to turn them on and off, don’t run the full light current through your on/off switch.
