To start with, I was annoyed that they force you to buy two when I needed only one. A few years ago I was able to buy just one but now, I couldn’t find a seller on Amazon that sold just one unless I paid more than the cost for two. I hate retail! Then, this one didn’t fit perfectly. Fortunately, I have a rubber mallet which I needed to force the strut on the mounting knobs. I have a 2011 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4WD. Pretty standard, nothing “special”. These are just cheap Chinese mass produced products. Quality and accurate fit doesn’t seem to be the top priority.
The one strut I bought a few years ago fit perfectly, went on easily, no tools necessary. And is still working great. I’m not confident that will be the case with these but it’s working for now. And I have an extra one that I don’t need….yet!
