This is the best priced set that actually fit the pin design for 3Rd Gen 4Runners. Easy to install, work just as expected. Only gave 4 stars for durability as only time will tell, but see no reason they will not last. Satisfied.

Was excited to replace my failing trunk struts on my E90 with these just to have them barely hold up the trunk upon install. They did have enough pressure to keep the trunk up at a 45° angle and above, however, did not help pop the trunk up like they are supposed to.
Very disappointing and will be returning. I would seriously look elsewhere if you want quality trunk struts.

A waste of money – seriously don’t buy these. I tried to save a few dollars by getting these struts instead of the OEM brand but these are extremely poor quality and barely support the trunk lid. With these installed the trunk would SLAM dangerously hard when closing and feebly lift when hoisted up by hand. They were barely any better than the old, dying struts I was replacing.
I ended up needing to buy the OEM struts to replace these – basically throwing away money on these and spending more money in the long run. But now my trunk operates correctly with Stabilus brand struts.
Even removing these was difficult because the retaining clips wouldn’t stay in the grooves meant to hold them. Just garbage.
