Burnt Toast –
I recently moved into a home with a very high-ceilinged second-story family room. What’s more, this room has several wonderful—but almost impossible-to-clean—skylights. My only ladders long enough to reach this high are either the telescoping variety (which aren’t self-supporting) or cumbersome and always-dirty outdoor-only beasts. So I was stuck without a ceiling- and skylight-cleaning solution—until discovering this ingenious contraption. It has absolutely saved the day when it comes to dusting, removing spider webs, and window-cleaning! The bristles at the implement’s tip are a bit coarse, so for dusting I will typically wrap them with a microfiber cloth. For glass-cleaning, I use a moistened hand towel.
This telescoping cleaner has proven incredibly useful, and I am very happy to recommend it for your own use.

TLDR: A great extension pole for light to medium duty use (dusting, painting, or even window washing). It is not a pool pole. A microfiber cloth wrapped around the brush may be less messy for cleaning things like ceiling fans.
First off, some warnings for use:
1) This pole is not desiged for swimming pool use–there are no drainage holes, which means it will eventually fill with water if submerged..
2) This pole is not made to be left out in the sun–the foam handles will eventually break down. The plastic locks could become brittle after excessive sun exposure, making them subject to breakage.
3) Do not put excessive sideways pressure on the extended pole. It may bend or break something. (This applies to virtually every extension pole like this.)
4) Do not attach heavy objects to the end of the pole (such as a 24-inch broom head). Try to stick to less than one pound at the end. It can take slightly more, but heavier objects and wider objects can place too much torque on the pole’s business end, resulting in breakage.
Background:
Unboxing this, I was immediately struck by the quality of the pole itself. For its length it is relatively lightweight, but it is heavier than my cheapest, weakest, bend-prone poles. Our vaulted ceilings are a pain to dust, and some of them are 20 feet at the peak. This pole reaches them well and is easy to work with, yet adjusts down to about 38 inches (roughly 3 feet or just an inch shy of 1 meter) for storage or use in small spaces like closets and pantries. It has solid, though plastic, locks that prevent collapse or overextension, but could be subject to breakage after some time, though other poles I have also have such locks and I have not worn those out in years of use. It also features a well designed pole shape for pole rigidity which prevents twisting as well.
The end has a standard alloy screw that fits painting rollers, squeegee, or even a broom head, though I do not recommend putting too much sideways pressure on the pole, as every extendable pole this long can be bent given enough leverage. I wouldn’t put an attachment weighing more than 1 pound.
For its intended purpose, dusting, it works well. The brush head is very tightly packed, so ours came looking narrower than the pictures due to being compressed in the package, but it can be fluffed out if some heat (from a hair dryer or furnace vent) is applied. Even un-fluffed, it works very well and catches cobwebs and dust. If you are wanting more of the dust to remain on the head, use a microfiber mitt or cloth (not supplied) wrapped around it, so the dust collects in the cloth.
With a small squeegee end (not supplied), it would be great for cleaning out-of-reach windows.

This thing has no problem reaching my double height ceilings so I can finally get rid of the cobwebs that were previously impossible to reach! The bristles on the duster head are softer than they look, so they won’t scratch anything, but they easily remove cobwebs. The pole is lighter than I expected but it is also very solid. It folds away into a reasonably compact shape for easy storage.
