Inexpensive alternative to the OEM unit. The unit took 5 minutes to remove and install and worked perfectly. No codes not issues.

UPDATE 12/27/19: So far the part is working just fine.

    ORIGINAL:
I purchased this and installed on my 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i with 6MT.
The part looks essentially identical to the original OEM part save for some markings.
I have had this installed for 14 days now.
I had been having power/acceleration issues for almost several years. I thought about buying OEM but can only get the part for about $190 shipped at the cheapest.
So far the there is little to no hesitation to accelerate and my Forester seems to have regained at least 95% of it’s power.
So I finally decided to try Amazon to see if there might be a less expensive option.
Found this for $24.62 on Amazon.
Time will tell if this part lasts long enough to make its price worth it.

Installed and took it for a test drive. There was a significant performance decrease. Took out the new sensor and put the old one back in and everything worked correctly. Upon closer inspection one of the vertical fins was broken on the new sensor.

Installed I’m my 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i that has over 200,000 miles on it. The acceleration is a lot smoother now. Not sure if it was because of the mass air flow sensor because I also changed out the upstream 02 sensor as well. Car is running and idles very well. At this price it’s well worth replacing on an aged motor.

This was used on my 2013 Crosstrek and seems have taken care of most of my throttle hesitation issue. The sensor seems to be of high quality and fits and functions perfectly. Will see how it holds up in the long run over time. Part was received quickly as well. Highly recommended.

The item was defective or maybe it’s because it was not OEM. After installing it the fault code went away but my vehicle was running weird, loss of power and rough idle. I bought a used sensor a few weeks later and it fixed the issue, no codes and running perfectly. As I said, there was no longer a fault code but there were other power and idle issues. Just buy oem, lesson learned.

The part physically fit however once Installed the part did not perform well. I bought this part to replace a sensor that was giving me poor fuel economy and my numbers actually dropped. I’m not sure if I just got a single bad sensor but not willing to try again. Going to try one of the more expensive sensors next.

  9. Dentazaur

My Forester ran lean, was very unpleasant to drive it especially because it’s a standard transmission. I put the new sensor and it’s like a miracle. Do not forget to reset the computer of the car. Simply disconnect the battery for few minutes.
