- Function: Maintain the safety of your engine by regularly replacing your oil drain plug washers. By doing so, you minimize the risk of oil leaks. It is crucial to select a reliable gasket to accomplish this task effectively.
- Material: Crafted from high-quality Red Copper, our Oil Drain Plug Crush Washers display a striking red color, indicating their purity as they consist of almost pure copper rather than impure or alloyed forms. With a copper content of over 99.7%, these gaskets serve as excellent sealing materials. They possess desirable ductility and suitable softness, enabling them to effectively fill the gaps between the flange and oil pan.
- Manufacturing Process: Our copper gaskets undergo a meticulous manufacturing process to ensure their quality and performance. Firstly, they undergo an annealing heat treatment process that enhances their ductility and reduces their hardness. Secondly, they undergo pickling and chromating, resulting in the formation of a complete, dense, and non-destructive passivation film on the surface of the gaskets. This treatment significantly improves their corrosion resistance, increasing it by over tenfold.
- Compatibility: Our Oil Drain Plug Crush Washers are specifically designed for use with M12 oil drain plugs. The washers have an inner diameter of 12 mm / 0.47 inch, an outer diameter of 20 mm / 0.78 inch, and a thickness of 1.5 mm / 0.06 inch. To ensure compatibility with your vehicle, please use the Amazon fitment strip. We also recommend checking the dimensions of your own plug gasket.
- Value Pack: Our professional-grade red copper gaskets offer superior sealing performance compared to plastic, rubber, or aluminum alloy seals. With a pack of 20 washers, you’ll have an ample supply for multiple oil changes, saving both your money and time compared to OEM part options.

My original transmission drain bolt was rusty and stripped with allen key stuck in it, finally got it out but no more usable, found this plug on amazon, ordered it it’s the same size as 722.9 bolt, M12x1.5 and just 3mm taller without magnet which still clears the overflow plug and won’t hit it, did a test fit before refilling the transmission and it was perfect, put everything together and torqued to 22nm and all corners of the bolt still look sharp and clean. Great alloy for the needed torque, only time can tell how long it will last. Also washers are thicker than original 722.9 plug with eats that extra 3mm by a third, so only 2mm longer. also it’s wider with reduces the risk of sliding and leaks. Highly recommend it.

Product arrived quickly and in time to have it as a back up for my DIY oil change. I did not know the age of the old plug, and the build quality of this plug appeared to be solid, thus I installed this one in its place. I have since had 5000 miles without any leaks/issues. After close inspection, I decided to reinstall this plug (with a new crush washer) and run it for the next OCI. Magnet had caught some very fine grit as intended. My only gripe is that I wish the profile of the blot flange was a bit narrower. When installed, about 1mm of flange hangs below the bottom edge of my oil pan and gives me final destination like visions of a perfectly placed object catching on the very small lip and ripping my oil pan open… Kind of an irrational fear, but anything is possible. I would definitely buy another one of these bolts.
