I used one of these to wire up a “Switched” fuse box on my motorcycle so that my accessories turn off when the key to the bike is off and turn on when the ignition switch is turned on. The wiring is very straight forward. Two wires close the internal switch when power is applied. Very little current is needed to close the switch, so I tied one wire to ground and the other to the wire that powers license plate light. The switch is then closed when the ignition switch is on, allowing power to pass through the closed switch. The remaining two wire provide power to your accessories. One is attached directly to your battery and the other is attached to your accessories that you want to power up… up to a maximum current of 30 amps. When the ignition switch is off, no power passes through the relay to your accessories.

Simple and effective. I wired them into a 1991 Honda ST1100 and they have functioned just fine.

The wires inside the harness plug are not crimped properly to their connectors. Every single wire slid off the connectors at the crimp. I have to replace all 8 of the little connectors, for 2 relays, and of course I can’t find any that will lock properly into the harness plug. I can’t reuse the connectors I have because they are crimped, just not well. It might be easier to save the relay itself and pitch the wire harness. The relays themselves work as they should, though.

One unit installed and working perfectly, good quality. Other unit, one wire fell out of socket pin before installation – had to pull pin out of socket, reinsert wire, CLAMP WELL, and put pin back in socket before using.

Good relays. Hope they will last as time will tell.

I’m really glad I stumbled across these. They work well for custom automotive wiring projects. I’ve only had them installed for a few weeks but have had no issues so far.

Purchased pair of these to re-wire previous owners shotty wiring job on some work lights on front and back of truck. These make for a clean, professional install.

Worked great easy to install if you know what you are doing. Knowing about circuits wiring schematics and fuses and and wattage helps
