My 370z rear hatch is basically playing roulette when it’s lifted it. I’ve owned the car for about 3 months and have been hit on the back of the head a couple times already. I purchased this support hoping it would be an easy fix, and I’ll go ahead and say the installation was a 5/10, not to the fault of the product.
Make sure you have something to keep the hatch open and maybe a little wiggle room. I used a 2×4 that worked okay. Removing the old support with a flat head was simple once I was able to get two off, was a pain in the beginning. DO NOT remove the clips off the new support. I made that mistake because I had a tough time getting it on, it was even worse trying to get the clips back in the support once it was attached to the hatch. Just make sure you lightly tap on the support once you have it on the hatch. Overall – I am really happy with my purchase and the fact that it not only goes up, but stays up, can’t complain about that what so ever.

My oem struts worked great until I added a spoiler that was 14 pounds. This works great as an upgrade. Now the hatch opens and stays open. No more hoping it will not fall on my head. These worked great

I broke a cylinder on hatch for a 370z. Ordered these, they came quick and work great. They sure are full of gas it seems more than normal. Open the hatch and about flings you over the car it opens so fast. Strong and sturdy and only the test of time can be told if they’ll last. But good cheap quick fix for my original mess up of breaking the oem shock

It would be great if they did work. Put them in my 370z and immediately they managed to jam the rear hatch. It would unlock, but it’d be jammed. Replaced them with the originals and it would be no issue. I even tried again in case it was something I missed, but no, they minute they go in, the moment you can’t open the hatch. I don’t know for other people but for me, it was pain to get behind the two seats of the car and I had to do it a few times.
I don’t know if they were a set of bad ones or not. Waiting for a replacement to know if it’s just some QC miss or if they’re just not going to work.
