This feels much like other brands of clay cloth. After applying a lubricating layer (using a quick detailer), the cloth glides across the paint. It picks up surface contamination, with the first couple of passes sounding a bit like sandpaper and subsequent passes smoothing out. Just remember to apply very light pressure and keep the surface lubricated with a quick detailer or rinseless wash solution. No need to spend big as this seems to have similar ability to smooth out the paint surface.

This is an alternative to the traditional paint clay bar products used for automotive cleaning and upkeep. This synthetic clay “mitt” features one surface that is the synthetic clay material, the opposite side of the mitt is a microfiber cloth material that can be used for normal polishing and buffing.
The synthetic clay surface provides some advantages over the tradition clay bar products. Since it is a mitt or glove design, you can use the full force of your hand, rather than just finger pressure applied to a clay bar, and this is much more ergonomic. Another advantage is that traditional clay bars will be ruined if dropped on the ground due to contamination from dirt and grit, while synthetic clay can just be rinsed off.
I like this product, the price is good and it performs as expected. I am giving it a one star reduction, still a good rating, because there are absolutely zero instructions on care or proper usage. There are a few considerations that should be followed when using a new mitt to break it in properly, and these should be documented.
