What the number of rating stars mean to me…….. I don’t give out 5 stars like participation trophy’s. It’s not fair to manufacturers/sellers that make and sell OUTSTANDING products.
5 stars = Items that stand above the rest. Something innovative or of surprisingly high quality.
4 stars = A high quality, above average product. These sellers are doing everything right and need no improvement for me to do more business with them. Generally MY highest rating.
3 stars = Acceptable products. But room for improvement on price and/or quality.
2 stars = Below average. Probably should pass on these unless you are desperate.
1 star = Unacceptable junk. Total lack of customer support can also put you here. Avoid at all costs.
When I first looked at these, I laughed. Then I did a double take and took a good look at them. I still think they are a little funky looking (in a cool way) but I found a good use for them in my case. I do a lot of mobile repairs on people’s vehicles and many times when I show up in my service truck, their battery cable clamps are TRASH. Then I have a choice of making a run to the parts store first thing (at 7MPG in my truck) or, clamping things down with a pair of vise grips which tend to beat up the battery posts. Not to mention having to juggle a few wires that need to be clamped all at once. But with these, I will be able to take all the wires, shove them in one hole and then, clamp them down lightly but securely with no damage to the post. And at under six bucks for the pair, they are a dirt cheap solution to an annoying problem. Normally I would have given these 4 stars but, They can definitely use some improvement. And that improvement is some serious deburring. They both have some LARGE burrs inside the big hole. To the point that I won’t be able to push them down on the posts without filing them out. Yup, with a quick going over with a deburring tool, the seller can shoot these right up to 4 stars.

The fit is a bit loose but they work. I created 4 copper “pans” for each side of the cable and they worked great

I bought these to use on my tractor because the battery is in a deep awkward location. It also has only 2 cables going to it unlike my car which has 5 cables to the negative and 8 cables to the positive terminal.
Anyway, the design is very simple yet effective. It only took a few seconds to attach the cables to the terminals and they are tightly attached.
Pro Tip; When connecting, always attach the positive first to avoid arcing.
When disconnecting, always disconnect the negative first to avoid arcing.

The one bolt tightens both the cable and the clamp to the battery. If you loosen it, both the cable and battery connection need to be dealt with.

I think it is a good design but I don’t think these battery clamps are pure copper. It looks like brass or bronze which is OK with me. There are burrs that I filed smooth which is no biggie. I would buy them again. By the way, look at the illustrations on the Amazon page to see how the little strip is inserted between the bolt and the cable wire since there are no instructions that come with the clamps.
