I’ve used battery junction posts many times in my life and in some cases; I’ve even made my own. One pair of these posts will be installed on my side-by-side this summer. They are very useful when you need to add additional cables to the battery, but don’t want to overwhelm the actual battery post. Too many cables on the battery itself can lead to battery damage.

The stud is advertised as stainless steel. I checked with a magnet and found that the nuts have no magnetic properties to them at all. The bolt section has very slightly magnetic and the washers a bit more so. The mounting screws are not magnetic. Now some types of stainless steel are slightly magnetic and other stainless-steel alloys are very magnetic (such as what’s used on a refrigerator). So, in conclusion, I would say that all metal parts are made of some form of stainless steel which is exactly what you want.

One nice feature of these posts is that the stud (which is really a bolt) can be removed so that if needed, you can use a longer one instead.

What I don’t like is that these come with a lock washer instead of a star washer. In electrical applications, star washers are far superior in keeping solid electrical contact. Therefore, I will be replacing the lock washers with star washers.

All things considered; they are of good quality. Very useful in many applications and perfect for marine use.

Nice enough electrical studs, will definitely do the job for connecting larger power wires together in a secure way.

I would have mild concerns regarding the possibility of the base melting if there was a poor connection, but if care is taken to ensure everything is clean and secure at assembly it shouldn’t be a problem.

Overall, for what they’re worth, I would have no problem using these in most cases, I would want something a little more robust for heavier duty or exposed conditions, but think these will be fine for most applications.
