Made by TE, formerly known as Tyco Electronics, a longtime international manufacturer of electromechanical and electronic components. This is a very reputable manufacturer that is an OEM for the automotive and many other industries. Just search on the part number and you will find the full data sheet. xI received the “2-Piece V23136-L31-D642 Automotive Relay 12V 70A SPST 4-Pin Plug-in Power Relay – Compatible with HFV16-L 12-H1TY, V23136-L31-X88, A00098319232-Piece V23136-L31-D642 Automotive Relay 12V 70A SPST 4-Pin Plug-in Power Relay – Compatible with HFV16-L 12-H1TY, V23136-L31-X88, A0009831923” in early February 2025. For the purposes of this review, I shall refer to this product as the “V23136”
The V23136 proved to be much harder to assess than expected. Like determining whether a fuse really “works,” a full assessment of these relays would require testing them to to — and beyond — their specified limits. Since the goal is not to destroy the product, what I can speak to is somewhat limited.
Disadvantages
1. None worthy of note.
Advantages
1. Fits “standard” relay sockets.
2. Is totally “plug and play”
3. Operates at specified voltages and, thus far the two (2) I put into service have cycled a couple dozen times without fail.
4. The contacts and the mounting appear commensurate with the heavy rating of these relays.
4. Okay Price.
Bottom Line: Would I recommend the V23136?
