I bought this due to the fact that I was having hard starts because of heat soak into the carb after my sbc 355 would get to operating temps. The carb was soaking up heat from the intake manifold which was causing the gas pretty much vapor lock. This spacer solved that issue right away. I felt a big difference in the temperature of the carb fuel bowls after installation, at least a good 15-20 degrees. Might not sound like much, but it did the trick. Haven’t had any issues with fuel starvation engine starts since putting it on.
