We gassed up the car in the middle of nowhere and someone forgot to put the gas cap on…. (admittedly, the tether on the original was broken, so we just placed the cap on the gas pump – oh no!)… anyway, I swore, never again! Enter this fabulous gas cap with tether that fits exactly how the OEM one does and the tether is secured nice and tight! So, now I don’t have to worry about my kid…. I mean, someone, forgetting to screw the gas cap on. The price is highly reasonable and very happy with the materials on this cap.

I bought this cap for my Honda Pilot (2014). The tether broke and any replacement tether just did not work out as they did not spin with the cap, however this one spins…just like the original gas cap. The tether on this cap is a little tighter, but it should loosen and nonetheless it swiveled freely. It fits tightly and clicks as you would expect. It keeps gas in the tank..as you’d hope! This also, coincidentally fits our 2000 Honda CRV, but not with the tether…because back in the year of 2000 you weren’t allowed to have tethers! Okay…just they hadn’t thought that far ahead yet. Still, if we lose the cap on the older Honda, we at least have a replacement in the trunk nearby. Highly recommended for working just like the original part!
