I have used this type of connector for years. They are convenient when you need to connect high amp equipment to battery power on a vehicle. Right out of the box, they look good. The terminals are silver plated which protects them and makes them easy to solder (see below, if my review doesn’t lull you to sleep.)
On our big truck, we use a large winch. We have it on mount that has a 2” receiver on it. We have a trailer hitch in the front and the back. Under the truck, there is a 4/0 aluminum wire as a bus for the 12-volt positive. At the rear, it also runs the liftgate. At the front and rear hitch is one of these connectors. The winch also has a connector to match, so it can be hooked to power at either end of the truck.
Two of the connectors we ordered are going onto a jumper cable made of 1/0 AWG wire. The jumper wires will be cut, resulting in one pair of approximately 8 feet and another of 16 feet. We will use one of these connectors on each cut end. This gives us a couple of options.
The first option is to put the connectors together so that the two pieces will can be used as a single jumper set of 24 feet.
The second option is to use them separately. If we are jumping a car directly behind the truck, we can connect the shorter piece of jumper to the quick connect that is for the winch. We can do the of same with the longer piece jumper in the front.
We did have a jumper cable set up exactly like this, custom made from welding cable. It was truly nice, just ask the person that stole it! The problem that we have is actually getting a set of jumper cables that don’t show up made of CCA instead of copper. In theory, it should be cheaper than welding cable.
One of the connectors will go on a 4000-watt inverter so it can be plugged in at either end of the vehicle.
The last connector will have a pair of 1/0 cables with a large eye at the end to hook up whatever piece of equipment needs 12-volt power.
I gave these 5 stars. They feel and look like the name brand that I have used for years. I would not put my time and effort into junk, but these are worth it. Considering all that you get for one price, 4 connectors with 2 terminals each, 4 covers, and 2 handles, these are a bargain.
(PS. Rather than crimp the connectors to the wires, I solder them using a trick I learned in the 1970s. I tin the wire with rosin core solder using a torch. I take a high grade, small diameter rosin core solder, like you would use for electronic repair, NOT acid or solid core. I roll a length to make a ball of the solder. With the connector stood up like a drinking cup, I put the ball of solder in it. I hold the wire in the connector and use a torch to heat the connector. To protect the insulation, I wrap it in a damp cloth. When the solder melts, the wire will go further into the connector. Continue to heat it until you see the rosin boiling out. Use a damp cloth to cool it immediately. Done correctly, it is a very strong connection and will pass the most current without the inherent problems that come from squashing wires with a dented piece of metal.)

If you match the size of these lugs perfectly to the gauge of the conductor AND use a 30ton+ hydraulic crimper, and use an oversize die for the initial crimp and correct size die for the final crimp – they work perfectly.

Like other Uddick connectors, these are the usual high quality I am used to from the brand. They do mold their name into the connector housing but not the handles if you choose to use them.
Once setup like all other SB175, the fit is great, the attach/remove is lightning quick. If you pull your camper batteries for winter like I do, it’s worth the investment to pull and reinstall the batteries without tools. These are fore 4awg wires, so the thickness of the contacts you crimp on are thicker walled than 2awg or 0awg to match the spec for the connector cases.
The handles are solid, and labeled for removal only not for connecting. They work, but unless you have the room for them and the need to aid your grip you may want to not get the handles.

Love this Kit contains 4 x Housing,8 x terminals,4 x Dust covers,2 x Handle. The installation was very easy and there was great connection quality they function perfectly. They’re great for the money. The quality of these is impeccable. I needed to purchase crimpers in order to have the perfect crimping ability. These are 175. Voltage Rating (Volts): 600 (Max).Wire Sizes,AWG #4 (Diameter:0.204 in/5.18 mm) I would definitely be buying these again. I love the Dust covers.

These are built almost exactly like Andersons. I have not tried interchanging the brands but others have in reviews with no issues. I have changed out a few plugs over the years and the pins are almost the same as any I have used that are the name brands. I only rate the 4 stars because it says they are for winches. The amperage is way to low for any 8k winch or above winch that I know of. I have a different purpose so not an issue for me but check the rating before using these in that type of application.

This review is for “175A Battery Quick Connector 600V(max) Battery Quick Disconnect Wire Harness Plug Kit for Car Forklift Motor Winch Trailer(4PCS Grey 4AWG”, Uddick Model 175A4PC4A (ASIN B0D7HLBFJX). Title and ASIN are included in the review because sometimes reviews get re-sorted and are no longer associated with the correct product.
The Uddick 175A Battery Quick Connectors shipped quickly and were packaged well in a cardboard box with two other items. Within the cardboard shipping box, the Connectors arrived retail packaged in a blue PVC bag which was taped shut, and within the bag the four nests and eight pins were fit nicely in a clear recloseable plastic bag. The eight pins are stamped with a “4” and do appear to be for AWG 4 wire.
I was able to crimp on AWG 4 tinned pure copper wire using size “50” on my crimper, and the pins slid easily into the plastic nests. The Uddick pins and nests seem to be constructed just as well as the OEM Anderson connectors and I had no trouble connecting/disconnecting to OEM connectors. Perfect!

Great value and exceptional quality!

These are a great value and they interface well with the authentic Anderson connectors. I have used some knockoffs in the past that did not properly mate and resulted in a spotty connection, but these work well
