I bought this buffer kit so I could polish areas on my car that were hard to reach with my orbital buffer. I ended up using it on my drill with some Flitz Polish to remove the haze off of my Tervis cups caused by sunscreen. For that task it worked perfectly.
The kit is a great value for the price but I do have a few issues. The pads are all very soft and there isn’t much difference between the different colors. Since the surface area is so small, compared to say a 5” pad, these pads compress flat with very little pressure. I have to visually watch the deflection of the pad to determine how much pressure I am applying since the weight of my drill easily flattens the pad.
The only other issue I have is with the backing plate. Many other similar kits include an adapter for chucking in a drill. The threaded shaft chucks in my drill just fine but it may end up damaging the threads. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

Kind of an odd review headline, I know, but my husband and I sell dishes online as a side hustle. I shop the pieces, and he does the clean up. Most items are good with a washing, but sometimes stubborn utensil marks and metal-transfer marks from stacking items with metal pots and pans leave those nasty gray marks. Some Peek cleanser and these buffer pads on a drill press or hand drill definitely do the trick! We burn through the pads quickly when we have a heavy workload of many, many items, but overall these are a great value for the work we do.

The pad holder was not 5/16 as advertised. The pads were all the same just different colors. Do not purchase.
