Functionally, this is a really nice car charger. It’s MagSafe charging is great and it holds phones securely. The magnet is strong and your phone won’t budge. Both iPhones and androids fit on the charger. However… if your car has vertical vents this charger will not work. It has no place to hook. I have a Subaru and couldn’t use it so I sent it back. It was disappointing because it truly is a nice phone charger.

Mine doesn’t work. Let me start by saying yes, I did take off the protective cover. Which was not easy! The little tape tap came off without the protective cover so I had to find an edge to peel it off. Not easy.
It will not hold my phone. I have a Wallet type cover that has a magnetic closure so this charger will halfway hold it, because of the magnets in the cover. However, if I take the cover off, it doesn’t hold my phone at all. And it will only charge it randomly. It has to be in one specific spot and then half the time it will charge.
I doubt that it would matter at all, but I did try it both in my house and in my car. It didn’t work either place.
I feel like I probably got a bad one out of the bunch, but be aware of that possibility with this.

This phone mount holds my phone but is wabbly. The little hook that holds onto the vent blade isn’t very secure. Not sure if I have it in right because there’s no directions but it looks like it is. Other than being a little wabbly, it gets the job done.

Installed in 2023 Kia Sorento (it has those sort of weird, vertical vents) this phone mount is a little wobbly. The hook it comes with seems like a great idea but it doesn’t securely keep the mount in place. It keeps moving around a little, which gets frustrating. I haven’t figured out yet if there even is anything I can do to keep this from happening.
The light on the wireless charger keeps going in and out, too – and the cable is securely connected so I’m not sure if this is an indication of another problem or it’s just the way this works. I’ll need to do more testing (for now, it seems to be charging the phone fine).
The best part is the included cable. It feels very solid and well-made.

When I got a new iPhone, my existing car vent holder no longer held the weight of my phone. I ordered this vent magnet car charger to accommodate a larger phone, which fit the models described in the original listing.
Installation and assembly was easy, however, the structure of the main unit was not strong or sturdy enough to hold my phone upright. The vent “kickstand” is small and a bit flimsy. I tried tightening the connections and changing where I placed the holder on the vent and never got it standing upright while my phone was attached. Out of frustration, I gave up and ordered a vent charger that holds my phone.
I would not recommend this vent car charger unless you don’t mind your phone screen aimed downward. As an upside, the included charging cord works.
