I got this battery box cause I really need to have a decent one change out the old one that I’ve been using which is a plastic battery box.
First of all the fact that it’s metal and not plastic is really a bonus when it comes to the strength battery box. It’s much more firm and solid and it will definitely last for a long long time.
I really love the fact that it has two handles, one on each end. It makes it very easy to carry the box in and out as you need even with the battery still in it.
Another great feature that I love is that it has a completely removable top with a good flip secure latch on each side, so it does stay in place when it is latched. But the fact that you can move it completely rather than once I’ve being on hinges makes it easier to get the battery in and out, especially in tight spaces.
The two holes on the front where the cables go in have rubber inserts to keep water out and debris. That’s also very nice.
There’s even holes in the bottom you can use to put anchor bolts to secure in place where it’s at.
This thing is a good solid battery box and I recommend it.

This is trash. You have to build it and there are no instructions. The bolts are about the size of a grain of rice there’s no way this thing stays together. Save your $, buy something else

I wanted a steel box for sets of LiFePO4 bare cells I was using to assemble a homebrew battery pack. This was perfect. It holds 4 305A cells without problems, with room for swelling. The wire feedthroughs come uncut so are effective seals unless you cut them, and protect the wires passing through. Solidly built. A bit of a pain to assemble, but not difficult, just time consuming.

So this went together without any issues, all of the holes lined up perfectly in all of the stainless hardware was there including a few extra spare nuts. The stainless panels are thick enough to do the job well without being overly heavy. I did like that it included the tools to assemble. The only real downside or possible downside that I found was the fact that there are kind of sharp metal edges left from the edges of the stainless panels at the corners and bottom so depending on where you are intending to stick this battery box it may be a good idea to cover the corners with something like electrical tape to prevent any possible rubbing which would damage flooring or a wall covering if this was remotely portable and not bolted down . It does come with stainless steel Hardware to bolt it down to the floor which is nice. All in all this is a good value and I’ll be looking to see If the make a larger version for an upcoming off-grid cabin battery I’m building. This is will work perfect in my pop up camper for my diy lifpo4 battery.

Installed a power jack on my tritoon trailer and wanted a separate power supply for it . This box is awesome, very solid and weather tight .

This storage box is incredibly well-made, though it turned out to be much larger than I needed for just a generator battery! It’s definitely overkill in terms of size, but I found a good spot for it next to the generator. Assembly was a bit involved due to the large hardware, but manageable. Looking back, I’m tempted by the stainless steel version for its aesthetic appeal.
