I am using this disconnect switch to shut power off to my trailer’s inverter when I don’t need it. My inverter uses a lot of power, even when nothing is plugged in, so this is a great way to keep that from happening. There is no light on the switch, so no power drain from the switch, and there’s just a relay to switch the power on, so very minimal drain from the disconnect when in use.

This battery disconnect switch is an easy way to keep your vehicle battery from going dead because of a slow draw caused by electronic gadgets that keep working even when the vehicle is shut down. Also useful as an anti-theft device if someone tries to steal your car.
I ordered this switch to use on a truck that does a lot of sitting between uses and has a tendency to drain the battery. In the past I’ve resorted to disconnecting the battery manually, but that’s a pain. This is a big improvement.
Installation is easy, but it doesn’t come with hardware to attach the box or the switch to the vehicle. The cable, at almost 10 feet long, should be long enough for almost any vehicle.
I used an ohm meter to make sure the switch creates a completely dead line, and it does. No bleed from the switch.
This is a nice solution to my truck battery drain problem.

A bit difficult to get set up on my truck. It worked fine. Had a long enough cord. My issue is trying to get it connected and the toggle switch doesn’t stay in the on position really well as it turns off the power if bumped around to much so i don’t trust it enough to use it on my truck while driving down the road. It leaves me worried that the switch will cut power while driving. A stronger switch would make this product a lot better. Only returning it due to the switch otherwise it would be worth keeping.
