I bought this to charge my 12V Lawn Tractor battery. The price was right, so I went ahead and purchased it with numerous misgivings. Our local shops were selling chargers from $50 to $100, so the price I paid was really a deal. The unit is very small and the charging wires are only about 18 inches long, so I had to remove the battery from the lawn mower to hook up the charger. I hooked it up and went away for a couple of hours and then put the battery back in the lawn mower. To my surprise, the darn thing started right up. I thought it would take at least 24 hours to recharge.

Took 15 hrs to recharge my lawnmower battery.. way to long and slow!!!!

works very well

Not a lot to say- it works. Bought it to top off spare 12V batteries in storage. Does that well, just clip the leads and wait for the light to turn green.

I’ve tried these so-called battery chargers before, and they turned out to be unregulated power supplies that topped 17 volts. That’s death to a 12 volt lead acid battery . But this unit actually works! Charges at 14.5 volts, then floats at 13.4 volts and 3 milliamps. Perfect for the SLA batteries in my string trimmers. The indicator LED changes from red to green when charging is finished. Good job, guys!
