This is a good quality retainer plate. It fits as it should and works like it should.

Bolted right up to my 2004 5.3L, identical to the OEM it replaced. Engine has not been ran yet, but there is nothing to suggest that it has not properly sealed. This review will be updated if any leakage is observed. The item offers only slight savings compared to better known brands but money saved is money earned.
Fits and looks legit, real world test still pending, seems a good buy at a reasonable price.

Screws were too short, and didn’t end up working for my engine. I ended up having to order the correct size screws and just used the plate.

I am getting ready to rebuild the engine in my 2005 Chevy Tahoe and am collecting parts to do so a bit at a time. This adds to my collection.
The red rubber/neoprene gasket material looks very nice and the mounting plate is thick and well fabricated. They even include brand new mounting bolts. You don’t always get those.
Now I suppose you could get by with reusing your old one but why take a chance on it leaking when it is so hard to get to once everything is back together. It’s a small price to pay compared to the hassle.
