Engine refused to start, thought it was something to do with my engine management system. Turns out it was this sensor, and I bought a genuine GM replacement, started right up. THANKS TO THE OTHER REVIEWS FOR THE HEADS UP. without ya’ll I would have been scratching my head for a WHILE.

My old sensor started my truck better than this one took it back out an put my old one in will get one at my local dealer dont waste your money I guess its true you get what you pay for

Installed this cam sensor as preventive maintenance while I had my engine torn down. I had ordered the sensor earlier than the rest of my engine parts arrived. When I finally got my engine back together, it started but was throwing camshaft sensor codes high and low readings. Removed my intake manifold again and reinstalled my old camshaft sensor. Problem gone. This sensor is junk. Don’t buy it. Now because I ordered it so early in the build, I have no recourse with the manufacturer. Spend the extra money and buy a good one, Not this one.

Newly rebuilt engine had trouble starting the first time and i had to replace cam sensor with old one and now it runs great and it was a pain to get at which is the reason I replaced it in the first place. Engine wasn’t finished before return window closed so now I’ll have to purchase another one.
