I have a Genesis that I thoroughly enjoy. However, I was having issues with intermittent issues with it starting. Upon exploring in the Genesis forms, I found that this can be a common issue that the portion that goes around the Post terminal doesn’t tighten down tight enough so you have intermittent issues with making full contact. Often I was having to tighten it down only to have it loosen up overtime. Nothing worse than a female alone at night and having a car that won’t stop in a parking lot. Again, the Genesis forms recommend getting a post terminal shim. Of course, as always one goes to Amazon and boom there it is. Any object you could ever want is easily found on Amazon thank goodness! Since putting this on my battery post I have not had another issue. Again for a single woman who lives alone this is quite comforting. No more having to fix it in a dark parking lot, on a cold day, etc. Thank goodness for Amazon!

If a connector (usually the positive terminal) won’t tighten up on your new battery use these. To prevent corrosion and get a good connection clean the posts and connectors on your car battery and apply “dielectric” grease to posts, shims, and connectors then tighten to specifications. Note: dielectric grease is available in small and large quantities at your local auto parts store and other places. It is NOT recommended to use other types of grease like Grandpa used to do. Please research dielectric grease for why and how to use it.

These fit well with the help of a hammer but need a bout 2mm more length to completely cover the posts on the battery I used a couple of them on.

I bought this item in hopes that it will work on a jdm battery with smaller terminals. Even putting on these adapters, it still didn’t work. Just moved around.
It might work for someone else, but it just didn’t work for me.

Worked perfectly. Had to trim for a good fit but cut easily and fixed the loose terminal connection. Much cheaper and easier than new terminal connections.

The product said it fit Infiniti battery terminals but it was way too big. I could even get the connector to go on top of them.

I didn’t know this existed. In the past, I would use a piece of metal as a shim. This shim/cap worked great in order to secure my battery terminals which are worn. It saved me a headache of cutting out the old terminals off the wires and re-securing them. The weather by me has been frigid and these caps provided a fast solution to my loose terminals which were causing hard starts. Overall, they are not too thick (very pliable) and comform easily and are easy to install.
