These are very durable, high quality discs that can handle the high RPMs and power of an angle grinder. I wasn’t sure what to expect with using an angle grinder as a polishing device. Seemed overkill, like taking a humvee for grocery shopping. But the discs can handle the power of the grinder and the sheer speed assists in polishing fast. That is if the noise and vibrations don’t bother you.
This product has made me appreciate wool – that while it is soft enough to not scratch a surface it is textured enough to polish quickly. It’s faster than cotton for sure, and handles tougher surfaces than cotton can. I have not tried the pastes yet as I wish to research them first, but I’m glad the paste sticks were included.
Altogether this is a great product that despite the low price of fifteen dollars for 10 discs ($1.50 each currently) does not compromise on quality of materials or construction.

Tom pads on a flexible plastic back should last a while ; the blocks of polishing compound are rather small and will get you though several small projects. PS: mice like to snack on the blocks of compound.

These wool felt discs are on the cheap end. Fifteen dollars for ten (at the time of this review) might be a little steep. I keep finding inclusions in them, separate sections of wool that are not felted with the surrounding material. They come loose and leave a divot, creating an imbalance which limits the possible rpm of the angle grinder. To avoid that, I’ve been using these on a lower-speed buffer instead, where they do a decent job. The included polishing compound is also of the cheap variety and runs out quickly. I don’t expect these to last particularly long, but I use them for tricky tasks that might chew up my nicer discs.
