This fuel capwith key, is of course compatible with my chevrolet trax, but it is weired that you can not use this cap without key. You need to carry keys at all time. I wanted something that is easy to lock and unlock, but this is not for me.

My car started getting engine warning codes for my 2002 Chevy Tahoe. They were mysterious to me and had to do with replacing the vapor cannister and/or the vapor canister purge valve. These are things I was unfamiliar with and they came up as expensive (for me) online.
So I go to YouTube and watch videos as to how to change these things. A mechanic quoted over $300 to change them. On the third video the guy starts off and says he will show how to do it all but then tells us newbies to always check your gas cap first because a bad sealing gas cap can give the same error codes.
I rush outside and bring my gas cap back into the house to check it. Aha! A hairline crack in the plastic. I quickly ordered this new gas cap and Prime delivered it the next day. After installation I ran the engine awhile and then checked the error codes again. Darn! Same codes !
And then my beautiful wife says ” Did you clear the old codes yet?” Duh! After clearing the codes I drive the car and check again. No more error codes! All that expense saved by a gas cap that costs less than ten dollars.
