I had a awkward positioned pipe to cut and replace and only enough room to cut about 25% of the pipe from the outside where needed. Decided to try and cut the pipe from the inside due to lack of space. I was able to add this to my grinder with a cutoff wheel and it worked perfectly. I have only used 1 of 3 on one job, but the time it saved.. worth the price if I never use them again.

If you look at the product photos you will notice the “flats” are mid way on the shaft and not at the threaded end. If the flats were only used to grab the shaft for disc changes then that would be fine but they are needed on the threaded end to fit properly into a flange nut. I did not notice this before I ordered but now it is obvious. Look at most of the other listings and you will see the flats are next to the threaded portion and this is where they must be to fit a flange nut. I was able to use a bench grinder to put the flats on the shaft where they need to be but I should not have had to do this. These shafts are also aluminum. I have no issue with being aluminum but I thought I would point that out. They do appear to run straight.

I used these extensions on a die grinder, and while they’re not perfectly balanced, they do an adequate job. There’s enough vibration that I’m more cautious with these on projects that require the highest precision.

Perfect for those hard to reach spots or narrow areas for sanding or polishing. Well tooled, nice threads. You can’t see what you need without them. You will need adaptors for the metric D/A and rotary tools. One each to attach to a D/A and a different one for the rotary. Great to use with the one, two and three inch pads. Comes in a nice box that you can notch the foam to keep the adapters in so everything is in one spot.

I also got extensions from another Company made of steel. Terrible threading. 1 star on that set. Had to force the threads on and practically rethreaded the parts.
