I got this to replace the cut one on my wife’s car. Getting the old one off was easy since it was mostly already off but I had a hard time putting the new one on as it felt like it was a tiny bit smaller than the old one. I eventually realized that I was trying to put it on the hard way and once I realized that, it still took some effort, but was much easier to slide the tether around the recessed gap on the gas cap. Once on, I did find that the tether catches when screwing the gasp cap back in and tries to wrap around my fingers, so I think I just need to add some grease so that the collar of the tether is able to rotate smoothly.
Tip for those trying to put it on, don’t try to brute force it on from the screw-in side like I did. It is easier to get it on from the other side where the recessed gap is closer to the end.

I purchased this gas cap sealer gasket and tether for my 2008 Honda Element which was in need of a replacement. It is a perfect replacement for the OEM, at a fraction of the cost for Honda branded parts. Very happy with this purchase!
