This is working okay so far for me. It doesn’t have as much power as I’d like, and installation was complicated because the track was rolled all the way up. I had to plug the motor in and roll it down before I could line up the track mounting bolts. This meant taking the assembly in and out an extra time. The plug cable was also on the short side which made connecting it a bit of a hassle. I think if it were 2 inches longer you could actually see both ends to plug it in.

If the manufacturer reads this please consider shipping this with the mounting bracket rolled down or at least not at the very top where it pushes against the window before you can even get the bolts lined up. And add an inch or two to the motor wire. Thanks!

These regulators work great and are fairly simple to install. Took about 45 minutes total and the construction and design is far superior to the OEM unit which failed! I’m not sure why they didn’t make the original units more similar to this replacement.

Received bent, hammered back to shape using old regulator as pattern. Easy install with help of youtube videos. Seems to work well.

There should be a recall on the originals what are the odds off one side breaking twice in less than 6 months and the other side going two weeks later. APDTY has a YouTube video on how to change them, that is where I found a link to the improved product, it was on the YouTube page. So I found the link, bought the rear driver and passenger sides and using the well done video as a guide changed them both out in less than an hour and they work great. With the pulley system vs the bizarre oem set up, I see it lasting especially when the old ones broke and I rarely use those windows. So find company YouTube video follow the links to order correct ones from Amazon and follow the instructions in video and you will be a very pleased customer with Windows with a better than new window motor assemblies.

Better than the original and a lot less complex. I don’t know why the original unit wasn’t more like this setup. Super easy to install, works exactly as it should.
Getting the old regulator out of the door is the hardest part and if you use this one to go back with after the old unit is out the work is almost done.

Got this because my 06 liberty rear drivers side window failed. Fit like a glove. I hate working on cars and it was an easy install.

Edit: broke roughly 6 uses after installing it. Swapped with another actuator of this type and it broke again within the same time period. My window is currently held up with zip ties and speaker wire

Bought for my 04 Jeep Liberty. With the assistance of a video I found on youtube, it was very easy to change myself and save several hundred dollars. If a girl that has never changed her oil or flat tire can do it, you can too. Works great!

I installed this on my daughter’s 2004 Jeep Liberty. Initially, I thought it was built better than OEM and would not present any problems due to its design. The install went fine and everything appeared to function as it should. Being that this was the rear passenger window on the driver’s side, it saw VERY little use. We had a pretty rainey winter, so most of the time, all windows in the vehicle stayed in the up position. With the advent of summer, my daughter decided to roll her windows down while driving for some fresh warm air. She told me that this was the first time in many months that she had rolled the rear window down. Now, the window is stuck in the open position.

I inspected the door and window assembly and found that the wire housing and spring which holds the cable for operation has come off, either it broke or stretched, I wasn’t exactly certain but, it was obvious know that the unit HAD FAILED. After close inspection and removal, I discovered that the cables had kinked and bunched up at the pulley area. No matter what I tried, I could not get the cables to straighten out. My best guess is that one of the cables detached or broke off at the sliding mechanism, causing the wires to bunch up as they did.

I’m with Doccraw on this one… You might want to search elsewhere for a regulator. Preferably with a better design or more sturdy parts that are not made of plastic.

In the meantime, I have requested a replacement from the seller as, in the product info under the warranty section, it claims to carry a 12 month warranty. I know that sometimes parts fail but, if the replacement part fails again, or if the seller doesn’t honor the 12 month warranty, I’ll update this review with the outcome.
