This is listed as fitting the Forester XT (turbo) however that is not the case. Its much too small, I believe this is a common mistake as the exhaust shop I ended up taking my car to had to try 3 times before getting the right size from a local supply shop. The quality is great so I’m giving the product 5 stars. However, I was disappointed that Amazon showed it as fitting my car it only fits naturally aspirated foresters, not the turbo models.

Used it to replace the one that rotted away in my 04 Impreza Outback Sport. Fit fine in the OEM exhaust. There will probably be some of the old gasket left behind, I used a stubby flat head to scrape it out and I put a ring of heat resistant silicone around the gasket before final installation. Car is way quieter now.

Not the gasket in picture. Was solid with gloss finish. It did fit my Subaru but not without some coaxing

I purchased this Seal for my early 02 Subaru Forester. I needed an entire exhaust system from just behind the Cat Converter
Shipping was very quick & in great shape 3-days to my door & that was using the standard method 5/8 days free shipping.
The repair took roughly 45mins to an hour as I also took the time to paint the new parts with BBQ Hi-Heat black
in an effort to prolong the life of the exhaust. Plan that your going to break the bolts at the back of the converter
& the resonator flanges not to worry if you order the following parts you’ll be in great shape.

Side note you will need to visit either your local hardware or auto parts store for 2 Nuts & Bolts (1/2inch Bolt 1.5inch long)to connect the Resonator to Muffler flange
Also whiles I was at the hardware store I picked-up a pair of nuts having washers machined on them to replace the 2 nuts that came with the Spring/Bolt kit thus matching the original Subaru assembly
You will notice the hangers on the new parts are solid rods unlike the Subaru hangers whiles looking very different are welded on & at the correct positions to work with
both the original 4-insulators or new if you decide to replace the 4-insulators.

The original gasket in my exhaust system deteriorated and ultimately fell apart (who knows where), gushing exhaust fumes under the passenger compartment of my 1999 Subaru Outback. The chain store where I take my car for oil changes wanted to replace my catalytic converter ($600 quote) due to significant rust of the flange where it connects to the rest of the exhaust system. I figured I would try replacing the gasket (and the spring and bolt kit while I was at it) instead to see if I could squeeze another few years out of the car before I replace it. The hardest part of the job was extracting the old, rusted spring bolts. The gasket itself went right in and sealed nicely when I tightened the bolts. No more exhaust leak!

Amazon’s “will this fit” feature is incorrect and THIS DOES fit an 01 civic lx. I bought this along with a new exhaust maninfold and spring bolt set. As far as I know it’s working great. The guy at the muffler shop didn’t say otherwise so I’ll just assume it worked fine.
If your replacing your exhaust on an 01 civic lx then pull the trigger on this one.
