This adapter is equipped with a lot of sockets with varied sizes. It has independent on/off switch for the sockets which means things can remained plugged in but turned on/off as needed. There is a digital meter on the unit to display the volts/watts. It has a sturdy cord that is long enough to make positioning the adapter a breeze. In my vehicle I have a dash camera, mini-fridge, 2 cellphones, and a blu-tooth adapter plugged in and it has been working without a glitch.

My car only had one power outlet and I wanted another without some massive clunky thing sitting in my cup holder area. I own a manual transmission car and like that area to be clear of wires etc. This unit was very small and I like that the piece that plugs in is also small. This allowed me to plug it in and then put the actual unit inside my glove box. I then ran the plugs for my radar detector and dash cam around the edges of my car and into glove box and hooked it all up without having a huge mess of wires everywhere. The actual wire of this unit is a bit thick though so this may or may not work for you depending how much space you have to work with behind glove box.
I haven’t had a problem so far and everything seems to be getting the correct power it needs and the USB slots are useful if I need to charge my phone and don’t even have to use another power slot. For $10 you cannot go wrong here.

Been using this adapter for about a month now and very happy with it. With more devices powered from USB ports, the two USB ports come in very handy. I originally used to need a circular power port for use with a 12V USB adapter, but this unit alleviates the need for that and frees up the two circular ports for use with devices needing them. Also the two circular ports are angled slightly away from each other which is great as this allows clearance for USB cables and also for circular 12V plugs that have enlarged or awkward shapes. The single cord is of good length and convenient as it reduces cord clutter (better than the “Y” splitter adapter I used to use). The long cord also allows the adapter to be conveniently used in vehicles that have cigarette lighters that are sometimes mounted in enclosed or awkward spots in the vehicle dashboard or console (great for travel using rental cars). Finally, the construction appears to be well made and durable, and the nameplate illuminates to give feedback that the unit has power – I find this feedback valuable as I’ve had past adapters fail leaving me with some anxious times as I thought my devices were charging when they weren’t. Overall great and well designed product.

So I wanted something 12V that had an XT60 input, in a box, that had USBA-USBC, and 12v splitter.. Closest I found was a $71 unit designed for RV usage and Anderson 50a connections, which was overkill. I picked this unit because chopping it up gave me 2 separate units, and allowed it to function as it was built for, a lighter breakout box. It is almost perfect, however, the reason I got this over other versions (aside from the brand being ok) was the 12v lighter port covers, which are sadly not good, they are a cheap material and not a snug fit, and often just fall/pop out of the socket. going to try adding some silicone in hopes it will add some friction or something. That said, it works great aside from the socket covers. Probably awesome for a car too I guess, but there are smaller ones out there for half the price.

In general, this is a well made product that functions well. However, the format itself, 12v “cigarette lighter” connections are as they always have been, iffy at best. This splitter is not immune to that reality. It works well … when it connects. We took it on a 2 week road trip over 7k miles and after the second day, unplugged it and bypassed it because on the second day, it failed to make good contact to the car’s one 12v power source (’22 Prius) and allowed our Jackery power station to deplete almost entirely. If you can’t trust something, it’s of less than no value because you’ve made a mistake in relying on it. Due to the length of th trip, I missed the Amazon return window or I would have.
