Perfect fit and working fine. While is seems a straight forward job, it took me a while to figure out how to get the old one out.
While there is only one snap in connector, one nut holding the battery cable and two nuts/bolts holding the starter, with an automatic transmission anyway, physically getting the starter out took a bit of pondering and extra work. Rather than attempt to tell you, check out You Tube or other internet sources for hints, if going the DIY route.

OEM fitment – works perfectly. I haven’t had it long enough to see how long it’ll last – I doubt it’ll make 270,000+ miles, but am I really going to have the truck that long?
Maybe. It does just keep going..and going.. 🙂

Looks like a nice, well made starter that fits and works perfectly in my 2000 PreRunner. Don’t underestimate the suckiness of this repair. Its only 2 bolts but they are very difficult to reach and get leverage on. What ended up working was 1/2″ ratchet on about 18″ of extension with a multidirectional head attached to the 14mm socket. I doubt you can get em off with 3/8″.

Original starter lasted 128,000 miles, tyc started with all new parts lasted 4,000 miles. To say the least without complaining too much do not buy from tyc. They have no contact numbers listed on their website or email contact. If you have problems all you can do is return for a refund. Stay away, enough said.

Great price and shipping time, arrived as a brand new part with nothing rebuilt. It went into my 1998 4runner Limited, after the original starter finally gave out at 425,00 kms. We’ll see how this lasts but so far so good, fires up even in -35 mornings like last week up here
