I purchased these air shocks for my 2005 Buick La Sabre Custom, 31,000 mile, based on previous reviews and felt comfortable with all of the comments. I only had problems with self made errors when I tried to secure the nut to the top of the shocks, I had the metal washer turned the wrong way, and I couldn’t get the nut to start on the threads. The washer looks upside down, and that is what threw me. The shocks didn’t look like the ones I have, until I fully extended them. Just hook the bottom bar to something and they easily extend. The Bore or size of the shocks looks a little larger than my stock ones. The shocks don’t come with the bottom nut and bolts, only the washers and the top nut that secures the shock mounted inside the trunk. Two of my clips (nuts) were already broken but I was able to still use them, holding them in place with a vise grip pliers. I too wish the bolts and nuts came with the new shocks. Also, I placed the clip over the airline before placing it back on the Air Shock, and it snapped securely. Much easier than trying to spread the clip after pushing the air cap on the shock, then the clip. Looks like my Buick was raised about two inches. We’ll see how she rides on our trip next week.

These restored the ride quality on my Cadillac DTS for an awesome price, and I’m thrilled by that – my only disappointment was that the listing shows a white pair and I thought that would make a beautiful contrast to the rest of the undercarriage 😉

This shocks are a good replacement to oem shocks for a 2000 Cadillac Seville SLS. Albeit, they are not as cushy as stock shocks but for about $64 a pair, it’s very hard to beat. Oem shocks are anywhere from 400-1000 each one…that’s right, up to 2000.00 for a pair of oem shocks. Of course, prices vary depending upon where you purchase them.
Back to the Max-Airs. They hook-up the same as the oem. Fit snug and secure. They are also just as big. You will notice the shocks have a large diameter. The shocks are also black, not white as advertised…sure makes it easier to hide the fact they are not oem. These shocks DO NOT come with the electronic adjustable sensor…hence the price. Still, the provide a solid ride with a reasonable amount of cushion. I quickly noticed that they don’t provide a cloud-like feel, but for $64 they’re are a great alternative. The shocks do air up and help offset weight in the rear. They handle pretty well over bumps and provide a smooth ride for the most part. You will be able to tell a differece with these shocks in comparison to oem, but again you are saving a ton of money.
As for quality, they are monroe…a good brand with solid contstruction. Plus, I think the ones I got offered a life-time warranty. Only time will tell how long they last. Still, have carried light loads and heavy loads the rubber boot inflats perfectly and deflates perfectly.
Definitely worth it if you like your car, don’t want to part with it, and don’t have at least $800 to buy a set of oems.
O yeah, almost forgot, installation was pretty easy. Basic tools are needed and it’s definitely a one-man, under the tree, driveway type install.

Perfect fit for my 2004 Buick Lesabre. As one person mentioned mine had spring nuts on it. Two of them snapped but luckily I had 4 nuts and lock washers sitting around that fit the factory bolts. Everything fit perfectly on the factory air lines. What a deal for a little over fifty bucks. Easy install and better ride.
UPDATE!!! These things are junk. This pair lasted a little over a year or so before I started getting a rattling noise going over bumps. A few months ago it got so bad that any small imperfection in the road and I would get this rattle. I replaced several rear suspension parts to try to figure it out and nothing worked. A month or so ago I figured I would replace the shocks again and see if that does anything when I replaced rear brakes trying to find a solution. Low and behold the noise was gone and would only be heard once in a blue moon. I didn’t know if it was maybe something in the brakes or the shocks. Well a month later the noise is back and very noticeable. I jacked the car up and started trying to get the sound doing different things. I had my wife helping me and she instantly said it sounds like the shock. After more tests we proved it was the shock giving me that annoying rattle. I enjoy the car but could not take that annoying chirp/rattle noise that I didn’t want to drive the car. Purchased new KYBs and hopefully they will work better and last longer than these junk shocks.

Doesn’t matter what color something is as long as it’s the right product which this was. Fit my 2006 Lucerne perfectly…And so far are working great. Got to love finding parts made in the USA.
