Product arrived promptly & adequately packaged. Product appears to be “as advertised” but time will tell it is has longevity. I initially purchased this product with the hopes that it would put an end to the error code of a possible loose/faulty gas cap on my 2015 Ram 1500; however, it did not due to other issues later diagnosed. However, at least I know I have a new OEM gas cap! Product appears to be of good quality & is appropriately priced.

Check engine light came on at 120k on my ’08 Ram 1500 V8 HEMI SLT. Ran a scan and P0456 (small emission leak). After an internet research, the most common problem associated with d with this code is a loose or faulty gas cap.
Purchased this OEM product. Installed in a minute. Perfect match and fit. Comes with plastic retaining strap just like original. Just use screwdriver tip to pry off plastic retainer from the gas cover. I erased the code and it remains off, thus problem solved. If you do not have engine reader to erase the code, then try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes (negative terminal) and reconnecting to see if it will reset the check engine light after installation of your new gas cap.

Went out to my truck took the old aftermarket gas cap off put the new one on turn my truck on check engine light was already out. By OEM people not aftermarket you will get a code for Vapor leak and this is probably going to be your problem I went through three other gas caps within the last year and a half. Decide to spend four extra dollars on a OEM.

Came in a jiff. Fits perfectly. Thinking check light will go off within a week or so. My scanner is in storage. Could tell the old cap had a weak seal. Tried greasing up one before. Still needed a new cap. Going to see if a socket extension and sharp hammer blow will seat the attachment line in the hole on the car body. UPDATE: Used an interchangeable screwdriver hex end and a few sharp hammer blows. Leash secured to car body.
1-5 minute job with tool selection, alignment, considerations, etc. and done. Good product. Exactly as described.
