This was a direct replacement for the original. It took under an hour to install (difficult angle to reach) even though it’s only 3 – 8mm hex screws mounting it. There is a bracket in the way of one that is difficult to get around (hard for someone with fat fingers).
Because of the reviews which claim it fails, I purchased the insurance too.
Works fine now, and I saved over $150 on the part (vs OEM), and a couple hundred in labor. There is no discernible difference in the noise level of it and the original.
I will update in the following months on its durability.

4 stars because when I tried installing this in my 2018 Corolla, it didn’t fit at first. I realized that the 3 pins were too high compared to the 3 pins in the OEM blower. So, I had to get a screwrdriver and bend the pins down in order to get the connector to fit. Kind of an annoying process. But, eventually I got the connector to fit and the blower works well.

Well worth the money and true value. Installed in my 2014 Prius 2 when the factory AC fan stopped running. When the OEM fan stopped I dropped the cover from under the dash and knocked lightly on the fan housing with my knuckles and the OEM fan kicked back in. Probably could’ve gotten more time out of it but I live in Central Florida and I could not have it kick the bucket and be in a sweltering pinch. Swapped it out in about 20 minutes with the only issue being a wiring bracket being in the way. Bent it out of the way a’la the video recommendation, it popped right in and turned on.

My AC in the 2015 Prius started to only work intermittently, and the dealer stated it was the blower going bad, and quoted me $360 to replace it ($250 for the part, and $100 labor). I came home and researched it a little, and it seemed easy enough to repair myself, so I bought this aftermarket part, and installed it in 15-20 minutes myself. The hardest part of the installation is removing one screw that is blocked by a bracket. As someone on here recommended, I just removed the whole bracket (one phillips screw), and the rest was a breeze. Four screws total in a Prius (use either a flathead screwdriver or an 8mm ratchet to remove the actual blower), and I was done. The part itself works well. Others have stated that it is a bit noisier than the OEM part, but I haven’t noticed any difference. So far so good. If you’re even slightly mechanically inclined and own a Prius, save yourself hundreds of dollars and just buy this aftermarket part and install it yourself.

Installed this blower motor on a 2010 Toyota Prius today Tuesday, November 5th 2019. It fits the car perfectly and blows strong air threw the vents. Even at the lowest setting it blows air on up threw the high settings. It gradually gets stronger as you go up as it should. The motor I notice does have a very slight hum to it but not irritating. The force of the air coming threw the vents over powers the hum. I paid $69.99 the car dealership wanted $250.00 dollars ” OEM PART ” ! WHAT ! Also, I noticed that the base of the blower motor had a small crack in it by the center shaft hole but I was not worried about that. It’s just the housing ” Cover ” for the motor see picture. Also took a picture of the new part next to the old. Iam happy now I am ready for winter and I can defrost the windows ! Would I buy this part again……..” yes ” !
