I bought this ($30) and a ($197) OEM VM sensor for a 2017 VW GTI.
Both sensors appeared to be 99% identical, with the only significant difference being that the OEM VW sensor had the VW logo on it. Both parts had the same part number stamped on the sensor shaft. I used this sensor, and returned the overpriced OEM unit.
I installed this $30 sensor on a new *steel* oil pan with no issues.
